This Fall, our interns will play a vital role in furthering CREEJ’s mission to protect communities and ecosystems through environmental justice research and advocacy in our four-week virtual program.

Project Focus

Participants will gain foundational knowledge of data center infrastructure, energy and water demands, community impacts, public policy, and environmental justice while contributing meaningful research to CREEJ's online Data Center Resource Center.

Purpose of the Research

CREEJ is working to build an online data center. The information gathered will be used to:

• Raise public awareness
• Support environmental justice advocacy
• Examine environmental justice issues associated with data center expansion.
• Translate research into accessible educational content.
• Push for policy change at the local, state, and federal levels
